Game Developers eXchange (GDX) 2010
I’ll be giving a talk at GDX 2010:
The Game Developers eXchange (GDX), sponsored by the Savannah College of Art and Design and now in its sixth year, brings together game developers, educators and students. Game development experts share their behind-the-scenes knowledge of the game industry. Participants choose from a variety of sessions in which professionals share what goes into the creation of games.
GDX 2010 offers a mix of game art and game design sessions.
Game art sessions focus on the purely aesthetic angle of game development. Sessions range from the role of cinematic sequences, to the pre-visualization process, to the importance of editing and post-production in games.
Game design sessions focus on entertainment-based technology start-up, designing virtual worlds, augmented reality and immersion, and social platforms. Game writers chime in with the importance of story, script, setting and themes.
